Happy Lunar New Year!

I am actually blogging from a small town called Kuala Kangsar. I can't believe they have Cyber Cafe here!

Today is the first day of the Lunar Year. I wish all Chinese friends Happy Chinese New Year, the rest a happy long holiday.

While I was enjoying the good food and the relaxing environment here, I missed you all so much! Can't hardly wait to go back to Klang to meet all of you so that we can plan some great activities there!

How are you over there? Maybe we can share our new year experience here. Just click the "comment" icon and add your input in this blog. Remember please don't make me a lonely blogger. : p

Take care, drive safely and stay fit. Don't forget our next meeting is on the 9th of February 2006. On the 10th is Rotary Club Family Fellowship hosted by President Low at Windmill restaurant and we are all invited! I heard President Low is going to give out angpow!

See you later!

A Great Fellowship

I could not have imagined this a few months ago.
Last year May, some of us (sorry I can't remember the exact number) went to Genting together. The purpose of that trip then was to strengthen the bonds between the members (actually I would not say "strenghthen" as it was rather like "creating" a new bond).
In January this year, we came to Genting again. Some of the few who went to the Genting last year did not follow BUT don't worry as this time we were joined by so many others.
As the picture above will tell you the number and the names of the individuals who were there.
After the fun but tiring paint ball game, most of the paintballers went up to Genting to spend a night together at RIA Apartment (Pahang Tower). We had some crazy activities there like playing "twister". Now when I look at the pictures we took when we played "twister", I am really embarrassed with the odd positions (want me to post some of the pictures here?)

Before the paintball game, I did really had some reservations as I do not enjoy running around in early morning and, of course, being shot. After hearing the loud bang let out by the gun, I was thinking about ways to chicken out.
However, the game offers unique excitement and thrills. I did not expect it to be that fun! Once you hit your target, let me assure you that the satisfaction is beyond your imagination. But the downside is you will potentially be the target others are aiming at! That's a fair game.
I hope we can have more this kind of activities, especially to get other club members involved. Then we can not only have fun but make new friends at the same time.
I am confident that with Rtr Shawn being our incoming Club Service Director, our next rotaract year will be splashed with colours and excitement. After all, we are still young aren't we? If we are not having interesting and exciting games and fellowship right now, what are we waiting for?
Let me end this post with credit to Rtr Feldman and Rtr James of RAC Subang for their coomendable efforts in coordinating and organizing this wonderful fellowship. It was a great one. Thank you.

A Start

Dear Rotaractors,

I hope with this new blog for our club, we'll have an extra forum for us to voice out our opinion and ideas, be it rotaract related matters or other matters which we would like to share with others.

This is just an experience on my part to see if this blog will work. So, I appeal to all to contribute your writing to this blog, please don't make me a lonely blogger : )

All the best to the blog and hope we all benefit from it.

Yours in Rotaract
